Sue Lambert, 78, of Robinson, IL and formerly of Wayne City, IL passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Fairfield Senior Living & Rehabilitation in Fairfield, IL.  Sue was born on September 17, 1947 in Mt. Vernon, IL to Clyde & Vada (Mayberry) Lowery.  On October 29, 1997 she married Larry Lambert, who survives.

Sue worked as a housekeeper at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL and she also worked as a home healthcare provider.  Previously, she had worked at her family’s business as a bookkeeper for Larry Wiggins Trucking for 25 years.  She loved classic cars, singing, classic country music, and traveling with her sister.  She loved taking her grandchildren to the fair to play carnival games and spending time with family and friends.

Sue is survived by her husband Larry Lambert of Robinson, IL; 3 sons: Tim Wiggins & wife Gloria of Wayne City; Rodney Wiggins of Fairfield, IL; and Jeff Wiggins & wife Christal of Wayne City; 7 grandchildren: Dustin Wiggins & wife Renee of Wayne City; Kyle Wiggins & wife Allision of Summersville, IL; Tyson Wiggins of Vincennes, IN; Riley Jo Wiggins & significant other Danielle Browning of Carmi, IL; Sawyer Wiggins & wife Melyssa of McLeansboro, IL; Codi Jo Ash & husband Russell of Wayne City; and Jake Wiggins & fiancé Victoria Gordon of McLeansboro; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a brother Owen Ray Lowery & wife Jane of Fairfield, IL; and a sister Connie Mae Skurat & husband Clarence of Woodlawn, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde & Vada Lowery, 6 brothers: Terry Wayne Lowery, Donald Lowery, Gale Lowery, Robert Lowery, Jimmy Lowery, and Larry Dean Lowery, and a sister Brenda Kay Brooks.

Funeral services for Sue Lambert will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City, IL with Roger Ash officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Young Funeral Home.  Interment will follow the funeral service at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City.
