On Tuesday, the Mules Boys Track team took 5th Place at the Bob Karnes Relays at DuQuoin. Notable individual performances for the Mules were: Cayson Webb-1st in High Jump; 1st Place by the 4x800m Relay team of Skylar Bladel, Treyton Lewis, Ashton King, and Kanyon Lingafelter; Treyton Lewis-2nd in 1600m; and the 4x400m Relay team finished 2nd.

On Tuesday, both the Fairfield Colts Boys and Girls Track teams took 2nd Place at Carmi in a Tri-Meet with Carmi and Eldorado. The Cubs are still rolling after taking down the Phillies 7-4 from Wrigley Field. Shota Imanaga gave up one run on just three hits over seven innings. Seiya Suzuki slugged a two-run homer as Chicago has won seven straight. The Northsiders are tied for second place in the NL Central at 14-and-9. They send Matthew Boyd to the mound against Philadelphia tonight.

Head coach Shane Steichen said Tuesday that Daniel Jones has started dropping back and throwing again as he recovers from a ruptured right Achilles tendon. Steichen has been in contact with Boston Celtics president Brad Stevens on how they oversaw the recovery of Jayson Tatum, who recently recovered from a torn Achilles. Indianapolis’ doctors believe Jones will be ready for the start of the 2026 season.

Gilgeous-Alexander led the league with 175 points in clutch times and helped lead his team to a 20-and-7 record in clutch games this season. (San Antonio, TX) — Spurs center Victor Wembanyama left Tuesday’s Game Two loss to the Trail Blazers with a concussion. Wembanyama hit his head on the court during the second quarter and did not return to the game. In 12 minutes, the Defensive Player of the Year put up five points and four rebounds. The NBA’s concussion protocol says players cannot play less than 48 hours after an injury and athletes must clear multiple benchmarks before returning to action. Game Three will be played Friday in Portland with the series now tied at one game apiece.

The team announced Tuesday that Donovan’s decision follows discussions with ownership as the franchise restructures its front office.
