The USDA has entered into a $300 million agreement with Palantir Technologies Inc. to support its “One Farmer, One File” initiative, aimed at streamlining paperwork and modernizing service delivery for farmers across the nation.

Announced in February, the initiative seeks to consolidate all of a farmer’s USDA program data into a single, easily accessible file. This system will allow agencies like the Farm Service Agency (FSA) and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to quickly access information when farmers enroll in programs, reducing administrative burdens and improving efficiency.

The partnership with Palantir is also expected to enhance farm security and accelerate the delivery of USDA farm production and conservation programs. The move is part of the USDA’s broader effort to modernize and simplify its services for America’s farmers.
