A Grayville man previously arrested for allegedly attempting to record a female employee under a bathroom stall at the Road Ranger has now been charged with multiple additional offenses following a forensic examination of his cell phone.

Grayville Police initially took 49-year-old Brian Allender into custody a week ago, after he was accused of trying to use his phone to record unauthorized video inside the Road Ranger restroom. Authorities reported that Allender provided the phone’s passcode at the time of his arrest, allowing police to conduct a thorough digital investigation.

According to Grayville Police Chief Mason Siegel, evidence recovered from Allender’s phone revealed numerous illicit images involving minors, recordings of sexual activity with animals, and video recordings believed to have been made inside the Road Ranger public restroom. Investigators were also able to identify location data linked to some of the recordings.

On Thursday, officers executed a search and arrest warrant at a residence on East North Street in Grayville. Multiple electronic devices and digital storage items were seized, believed to be pertinent to the ongoing investigation. Allender was subsequently taken back into custody and now faces additional charges, including four counts of Child Pornography, one count of Sexual Conduct with an Animal, and one count of Unauthorized Video Recording.

Allender appeared in White County Circuit Court Monday morning and remains behind bars at the White County Jail in Carmi as the investigation continues.
