A two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning in Wayne City resulted in minor injuries and a citation, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department.
The crash occurred at approximately 10:45 a.m. at the intersection of North Main Street and West Washington Street. Deputies report a 2015 Cadillac utility vehicle driven by 61-year-old Nancy Peddicord of Bluford was traveling northbound on North Main Street when a 2011 Chevrolet 2500 truck, driven by 28-year-old Stephen Ehst of Xenia, attempted to make a left turn onto West Washington Street.
Authorities say Ehst turned into the path of Peddicord’s vehicle. He reportedly told deputies he did not see the oncoming vehicle.
Peddicord was transported by Wayne City Ambulance to Fairfield Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Ehst was cited for improper turn.
