Pritzker: Bears Stadium Bill ‘Within the Framework’ Of Deal

(Springfield, IL) — Governor Pritzker believes a proposal that would help relocate the Bears to Arlington Heights is inching closer to approval. The governor says the megaprojects bill that passed the Illinois House last week “is within the framework” of a deal that the team would be willing to agree to. However, he did acknowledge the bill needs changes as it moves through the Senate. The Illinois Senate is in session this week.

Chicago US Reps Call For $25 Federal Minimum Wage

(Washington, DC) — Several US Representatives from Chicago are calling for a federal minimum wage of 25-dollars-per hour. Representatives Jonathan Jackson, Jesus “Chuy” Garcia and Delia Ramirez introduced a bill yesterday in Washington, D.C. that would gradually raise the federal minimum wage to 25-dollars-per hour over several years. The proposal is called the Living Wage for All Act.

Six Flags St. Louis Implements Chaperone Policy

(St. Louis, MO) — Six Flags St. Louis is bringing back a chaperone policy after it was forced to close early last weekend due to fights. Starting on Saturday, all guests ages 16-and-under must have a chaperone who is at least 21 years old. The announcement comes after officers reportedly had to disperse a crowd of as many as 100 juveniles who were involved in fights at the park. Six Flags officials say any underage guest caught without a chaperone will be removed.
