CISNE RECOGNIZES STUDENTS DURING 2025-2026 EXTRACURRICULAR AWARDS CEREMONY

Students at Cisne High School were recognized for their achievements during the 2025-2026 Extracurricular Awards ceremony held last Wednesday evening.

During the event, Mr. Klinger highlighted several student-athletes for their participation across multiple sports. In girls basketball, Cisne’s co-op with Wayne City High School was noted, with Maddelyn Hall and Kyrene Block recognized for their contributions.

Junior Mikkie Hearle and senior Noah Atkins were acknowledged for their participation in fall cross country. In bass fishing, Brody Hutchcraft and Quay Johnson were recognized as their spring season gets underway.

Track and field honors included Ashtyn Smith, a sophomore, who earned Girls MVP in both field and running events. Brody Bowles, a senior, received Boys MVP in running events, while senior Brennon Williams was named Boys MVP in field events.

In journalism, Dalli Belmont received the Photography Award, Annalisse Nettleton and Thea Preux earned Journalism Awards, Peyton Johnston and Kylar Porter were named Editor-in-Chief Award winners, and Ryan Strange received the Business Manager Award.

Boys basketball awards went to Zach Dagg for the Mr. Rebound Award, Brennon Williams for the Hustle Award, Hagen Howard for MVP, and Tucker Bowen for Defensive Player.

Cheerleading honors included Claire Matthews for Team Spirit, Peyton Cordill for Most Improved, Kiley Fetherling for Leadership, and Brooklyn Bowles for Best Overall.

In volleyball, Kloyee Dagg was named Most Improved, Kendall Barnfield received the Varsity Hustle Award, Ava Greifzu earned the Lady Lions Award, Kaleya Porter received the Offensive Award, Rylee Dillon was recognized with the JV Hustle Award, and Kassie Atwood earned the Defensive Award.

Coach Howard also recognized Hagen Howard for an outstanding golf season.

Baseball and softball players were introduced during the ceremony, with awards to be presented later at the conclusion of their seasons.
