The Wayne County Farm Bureau has awarded a 2026 Community Impact Grant to Feed My Sheep Food Pantry in Fairfield.

Feed My Sheep provides free hot meals to individuals and families in need Monday through Friday, along with take-home meals for the weekend. The ministry, operated by Phillip and Lois Cooper, serves approximately 60 to 70 people each day.

The $4,500 grant helped fund a portion of building repairs and renovations, including the installation of a new front window and interior painting. The Farm Bureau’s grant program covers up to 50 percent of project expenses submitted for consideration.

The Community Impact Grant Program aims to partner with local organizations and individuals on projects that create lasting benefits for the community. Now in its 13th year, the program has awarded a total of $80,000 in grant funding since 2014.
