Members of the Cisne FFA Parliamentary Procedure Team earned a second-place finish at the Illinois FFA State Parliamentary Procedure Leadership Development Event held yesterday (Thursday) at Illinois Central College.
Team members included Kenzie Alvis, Mikkie Hearle, Aidyn Dickey, Kadence Hyder, Esme Krupp, and Allison Shannon.
Several students also received individual honors during the state competition. Mikkie Hearle was named the first-place Overall State Floor Member, while Kenzie Alvis earned second-place Overall State Chair honors.
The six-member team completed written examinations covering parliamentary law, answered oral questions related to assigned motions, and participated in an 11-minute parliamentary procedure demonstration.
Teams must advance through sectional and district competition to qualify for the state event, with only 10 teams across Illinois earning the opportunity to compete at the state level.
