Ford Motor Company is recalling more than 179,000 vehicles due to a defect involving the front seat frame in certain late-model SUVs and pickup trucks.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the issue could increase the risk of injury during a crash.
The recall affects 2024 through 2026 Ford Bronco models as well as certain Ford Ranger vehicles.
Federal safety officials say Ford dealers have been instructed to inspect the seat frame pivot links and bolts and replace components as needed at no cost to vehicle owners. The inspection and repair are being offered as a temporary fix while the issue is addressed.
