The Fairfield City Council will meet Tuesday, May 12th at 7:15 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
The meeting agenda includes approval of minutes from the April 14th meeting and executive session minutes from January 13th along with approval of bills and public comments.
Routine business items include resolutions setting future city council meeting dates and addressing forgiveness of interfund loans. Council members are also expected to consider several board and committee appointments, including the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, Police Pension Board, Library Board, Zoning Board and Recreation Committee.
Additional agenda items include a proposed pay increase for the city treasurer and approval to hire a new city firefighter from the current eligibility list.
Council members will also hear the annual report for the Fire and Police Pension Funds and consider funding requests of $7,000 for the city band and $6,500 from the recreation fund. The recreation request would help support July 2nd fireworks at Southwest Park, the 250th July 4th celebration at Leo French Park and June and August Summer Saturdays events.
The meeting will also include a financial report, miscellaneous business and an executive session before adjournment.
