GRAYVILLE MAN SENTENCED TO DOC AFTER WHITE COUNTY COURT PLEA DEAL

41-year-old Joseph Stoneberger of Grayville is headed to the Illinois Department of Corrections following a court appearance in White County on Wednesday.

Stoneberger was arrested in late January and charged with stalking, electronic harassment, and disorderly conduct. On Wednesday, he entered into a plea agreement in White County Circuit Court.

Under the terms of the deal, Stoneberger will be sentenced to up to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on the stalking charge, with the remaining charges dismissed as part of the agreement. He will also be required to serve four years of Mandatory Supervised Release upon completion of his prison term.

Stoneberger received credit for 103 days already served in custody.
