Colson Montgomery homered in the victory, while Tyler Davis picked up his first win in relief. The Southsiders are in second place in the AL Central at 21-and-21. They send Anthony Kay to the mound against the Royals tonight.

Jordan Schultz is reporting that the Bears will take on the Lions on Thanksgiving for the second time in three years. The Bears lost to Detroit 23-20 on Thanksgiving during the 2024 season. Achane rushed for a career-high 1,350 yards last season and earned his first Pro Bowl selection.

Seventh round pick Quintayvious Hutchins was arraigned Wednesday on a charge of assault and battery against a family/household member. Hutchins pleaded not guilty and was released on personal recognizance. Court documents indicate the alleged incident occured on Tuesday. New England selected the 23-year-old with its final pick of the 2026 draft.

(Florham Park, NJ) — The Jets are adding experience to their receiving corps. According to ESPN, the Green and White have agreed to terms with free agent wideout Tim Patrick. The 32-year-old visited the team facility on Wednesday and will sign a one-year contract for about 1.5-million-dollars. Patrick caught 15 passes for 187 yards and three touchdowns for the Jaguars last season.

(Undated) — The Cleveland Cavaliers moved one win away from their first trip to the Eastern Conference Finals since 2018. Cleveland defeated the Detroit Pistons 117-113 in overtime in Game Five at Little Caesars Arena. The Cavs now lead the best-of-seven series 3-2 and will host the Pistons in Game Six on Friday. There will be no playoff games today. Out west, the Minnesota Timberwolves play host the San Antonio Spurs in Game Six on Friday. The Spurs lead the series 3-2.

(New York, NY) — The Knicks are hoping to have a key piece back in the lineup for the next round of the playoffs. According to ESPN, there is optimism that forward OG Anunoby will return from his hamstring injury by the start of the East Conference Finals. Anunoby was injured in Game Two of the East semifinals against the 76ers. Head coach Mike Brown said Anunoby participated in portions of Wednesday’s practice and they will reevaluate on Friday.

The two remaining series will continue tonight. The Buffalo Sabres will host the Montreal Canadiens in game five before the Vegas Golden Knights try to advance past the Anaheim Ducks on the road in game six of their series.

Defenseman Matthew Schaefer was named the winner of the Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL’s rookie of the year. He is the first unanimous choice for the award in 33 years. Schaefer finished his first campaign with 23 goals and 36 assists for 59 points, breaking the record for most points by an 18-year-old defenseman.

(Newtown Square, PA) — Scottie Scheffler will be looking to add to his legend when the PGA Championship tees off from Aronimink Golf Club. Scheffler won last year’s tournament by five strokes after finishing atop the leaderboard at 11 under par. The 29-year-old will be alongside Justin Rose and Matt Fitzpatrick for the first and second rounds. Alex Fitzpatrick, Ben Griffin and Braden Shattuck will be among the first group of players teeing off round one.

(Undated) — The WNBA is returning to Houston. The WNBA and NBA board of governors has unanimously approved the sale and relocation of the Connecticut Sun franchise from the Mohegan Tribe to Houston Rockets owner Tilman J. Fertitta. The Sun will play the remainder of the 2026 campaign in Connecticut before relocating to Houston ahead of the 2027 season. The team will be rebranded as the Houston Comets. The Comets originally played in Space City from 1997 to 2008.
