The Wayne County Circuit Court heard two probation violation cases on Thursday, resulting in new sentences for both defendants.
Christopher Bartley, 52, of Olney, admitted to violating a previous sentence of probation related to an original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a case dating back to December 2020. Judge Matt Vaughn sentenced Bartley to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, plus court costs. Bartley was given credit for 97 days already served in the Wayne County Jail. Judge Vaughn ordered Bartley to report to the Wayne County Jail on Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m.
Amber Galbraith, 37, of Flora, also admitted to violating a previous sentence of probation of two years and six months for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Galbraith was sentenced to 60 days in the Wayne County Jail, plus court costs.
