Noel Ray Vaughan, 95 of Fairfield, passed away at 6:11 PM, Friday, May 15, 2026, at his home. Born on October 9, 1930, in Mill Shoals, IL to Henry and Myrtle (Funkhouser) Vaughan, he was a tool and die maker and had retired from Champion Labs. He was also a veteran of the US Air Force.
Noel is survived by 2 sons- Randal (Ashley) Vaughan of Fairfield and Danny (Shayla) Vaughan of Flora; 3 daughters- Shirley (Gene) Rockett of Geff, Cathy (David) Lewis of Fairfield, and Shavonna Thomason of Fairfield; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a sister Judy (Gary) McCormick of St. Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marie Vaughan, sons Frank and John Mulrenin, daughters Bessie Hodges, Patricia Finke, and Tina Vaughan; brothers Max and Vertis Vaughan; sister Wilma Vaughan; and special friend Phyllis Scott.
Funeral services for Noel Ray Vaughan will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, May 19th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
