The Relay For Life of Hamilton/Wayne/White County will hold its annual Relay For Life event on Saturday, June 13th at the First Baptist Church Carlton Center in McLeansboro.
The evening will feature entertainment, food booths, raffles, and activities for children, along with recognition for cancer survivors and supporters.
Survivor registration and food booths will open at 4 p.m., with the official opening ceremony beginning at 5 p.m. Cancer survivors are encouraged to participate in the Survivor Lap, which serves as the honorary first lap of the event.
Luminaries in honor or memory of loved ones may be purchased from Relay volunteers throughout Hamilton, Wayne, and White counties or during the event itself. The luminary bags will be illuminated at 8 p.m. in preparation for the Luminaria Ceremony.
Organizers say Relay For Life and all related activities are open to the public and invite area residents to attend for an evening of music, food, raffles, survivor recognition, and community support.
