Mad Science of St. Louis prepares to bring its Fire and Ice Show to the Groff Library in Grayville on Monday, June 8th and will be presenting its “Plant the Seed of Science” program for youth as part of Groff Library’s summer reading initiative, “Plant a Seed, Read!” which will kick off the library’s summer reading program at 2 p.m.

Mad Science has spent the past 40 years developing and delivering captivating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programs. Their shows are known for making science accessible and thrilling for young minds, and this year’s Fire and Ice Show is no exception. Attendees can expect to witness spectacular science demonstrations, including fiery chemical reactions, icy explorations, and the creation of giant soap bubbles.

“We want to add the ‘wow factor’ to our library reading kickoff,” said a spokesperson for Mad Science. “Our hands-on, interactive approach is designed to engage children and inspire them to explore the world of science.”

The event is sponsored by the Friends of Groff Library and is part of the library’s ongoing commitment to providing educational and entertaining programming for the community. For more information, contact Groff Library at 618-375-7121 or visit their website at grofflibrary.org.
