EDWARDS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS SOLAR PROJECTS, HEALTH OFFICE, AND MORE AT MONDAY MEETING

The Edwards County Commissioners will meet for their regular meeting on Monday, June 1st at the Edwards County Courthouse. The meeting is set to begin at 9:00 a.m., with a full agenda. Commissioners will start by approving minutes from their previous session, followed by a report from Sheriff Darby Boewe. Updates from the County Health Office are also scheduled, along with consideration of a liquor license renewal for Homestead Vineyards.

The meeting will include discussion of a lease agreement for the County Health Office with the Edwards County Medical Association. Infrastructure remains a priority, with the County Highway Department set to present a Road Use Agreement related to the Ecoplexus-Albion Solar Project.

Additional topics on the agenda include a report from the County Treasurer, proposed revisions to the county’s solar ordinance, and a project update from Ecoplexus regarding local solar initiatives. Commissioners will also approve election judges for the 2026-2028 term. An executive session is planned to review updates on the County Highway Building. Reports from the landfill and EMS will follow, alongside general correspondence and discussion.

The meeting will conclude with the approval and payment of claims presented, before proceeding to recess or adjournment.
