The annual meeting for members of Wayne-White Counties Electric Cooperative will be held Friday, June 12th, at the Wayne City School Gym. Entertainment for this year’s meeting will feature Wilce ‘N Green, a Southern Illinois band performing country and southern rock music from multiple eras. Band members include Wayne-White Electric member and Hamilton County taxidermist Jody Green on rhythm guitar and vocals, Todd Williford of Thompsonville on lead guitar and vocals, Jeff Stoffel of Benton on drums and backup vocals, and Rick Stoffel of Collinsville on bass guitar.
The evening will begin with a meal at 5 p.m., followed by entertainment shortly after 6 p.m. The business meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. A pulled pork barbecue meal will be prepared by Steve Ehrhart of Wayne City. Cooperative officials also announced there will be prize drawings following the business meeting. Members must be present to win prizes, and every registered member attending the meeting will receive a $25 credit on a future electric bill.
Three seats on the cooperative’s board of directors will be up for election during the meeting. The positions are currently held by Vernon Gwaltney of Fairfield in District 2, Andy Glover of Mt. Erie in District 3, and David Hunsinger of Carmi in District 6. Current cooperative members are expected to receive an annual meeting booklet containing registration materials and additional information toward the end of May. Officials noted the booklet will now be combined with the Illinois Country Living magazine and the cooperative newsletter. Additional information is available through the cooperative website or by contacting the Wayne-White Electric Cooperative office at 618-842-2196.
