
Fairfield Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Randy Russell as the organization’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective June 1st. Randy Russell earned his Master of Business Administration from Ball State University in December 2003 and his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, with a minor in Mathematics, from the University of Southern Indiana in May 1995.
Russell brings more than 33 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a distinguished career focused on healthcare financial leadership and administration. His extensive expertise includes financial management, accounting, auditing, forecasting, reimbursement, fiscal operations, and regulatory compliance. Throughout his career, Russell has served in several executive leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer positions with Deaconess and Ascension St. Vincent, as well as Vice President of Finance and CFO at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. He also previously worked as a Senior Accountant with KPMG and as a Financial Analyst with St. Mary’s Medical Center.
During his tenure at KPMG, Russell specialized in healthcare reimbursement and operational analysis, preparing Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, conducting reimbursement reviews, assisting with merger and acquisition support, and performing regulatory and operational analyses to maximize reimbursement opportunities for healthcare organizations.
