June Ann Conard, 78 of Okeechobee, FL, formerly of Elizabethtown and Flora, IL passed away at 6:30 am EST, Thursday, May 28, 2026, at her home with family by her side.

June was born on July 29, 1947, in the Elm River Township, Illinois, the daughter of Wallace and Flores (Henman) Keyser. She was a 1965 graduate of Cisne High School. After graduation she went on to attend Lockyear Business College. June married Carlin Conard in 1967, they had 2 children from their marriage. She later met her life partner Larry Harrison, together they cherished the last 32 years.

June never met a stranger, outspoken and inquisitive, she knew everything about you before you realized what happened. She made many friends throughout her 45 year career as a Tax Accountant in Flora, it was never a job for her, but a reunion of family and friends. After her retirement in 2021, she and Larry went on an RV adventure finally settling in Okeechobee FL. She enjoyed gardening and canning the fruits of her labor. She was also an avid deer hunter prior to leaving Illinois. She treasured the time spent playing cards with friends sharing stories and a few laughs, most of which she instigated. June was a member of the Pleasant Hill “The Brick” Missionary Baptist Church of Geff, IL. Though our hearts mourn this loss, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace in heaven, free from pain, and resting in God’s eternal love.

June is survived by her loving partner, Larry; daughter, Kelly New (Jim) of Wartrace TN; daughter in law, Jill Conard of Louisville, IL; two grandsons, Brett Conard of Effingham, IL and Brenden Conard of Kell, IL; 5 great grandchildren, Maddie, Liam, Rylan, Ivy and Winnie; brother, Sheldon Keyser (June) of Hoyleton, IL; and many cousins, nieces and nephews and cherished friends!

June was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Kevin; and dog, Kiska.

At June’s request there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers and to support the community she knew and loved, the family requests memorials be made in June’s memory to Nostalgia Theater, 120 E North Ave, Flora, IL 62839. This organization supports fine arts including theater and musical performance, comedy, dance and visual arts.
