Rebecca “Becky” Sue Croghan, age 88, of Carmi

Rebecca “Becky” Sue Croghan, age 88, of Carmi, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026 surrounded by loved ones at home. She was born February 15, 1938 in Carmi, IL the daughter of Chelsea Glen and Mary Olive (Ridenour) Rudolph. Becky married Michael F. Croghan on June 21, 1958 and shared 67 years of marriage together. As a child, Becky grew up on a farm, participated in 4-H, and raised a prize winning pig. She later worked at Stein’s Flower Shop, where she enjoyed giving flowers to those in need. Becky was homecoming queen at Crossville High School, attended Murray State, where she served as a majorette. Throughout her life, she was a talented seamstress, owned an interior design business, and made her children’s clothing and draperies, and loved cooking. She attended and came to know Christ at McHenry Methodist Church, and after marrying Mike she was baptized and became a member at First Baptist Church. As a member she was involved in the hospitality committee and a leader of the YWA (Young Women’s Association). Becky’s life, above all else, was hidden in Christ, and Christ Jesus in her!

Becky is survived by her husband, Michael F. Croghan of Carmi, IL; her children Kelly (Darcy) Croghan of Louisville, KY, and Patrick (Beckie) Croghan of St. Albans, WV; grandchildren, McKenzie (Benjamin) Rich, Sean (Aubree) Croghan, Craig Sherman, Charlie (Sarah) Sattes, and Lesley Sattes; great-grandchildren, Corey Sherman, Shalee Sherman, Shelby Sherman, Callum Croghan, Clemente Twyman, Charlie Sattes V, and Carmelo Carrington.

Funeral Services for Becky Sue Croghan, 88, of Carmi will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will follow at Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Becky’s memory to Charles Ford Hospice and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St., Carmi IL 62821.
