The White Sox had their five-game winning streak snapped with a 9-6 loss to the Minnesota Twins at Target Field. The Southsiders surrendered four runs in both the fourth and fifth innings. Miguel Vargas homered twice in the losing effort, while Andrew Benintendi also went deep. David Sandlin was charged with his first loss after allowing eight runs on eight hits in four innings. Chicago is in second place in the AL Central at 32-and-28. The Sox send Davis Martin to the mound against Minnesota tonight.

The St. Louis Cardinals had just five hits during a 2-1 loss to the Texas Rangers at Busch Stadium. Masyn Winn drove in the Cardinals only run with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. Michael McGreevy was charged with his fifth loss after allowing two runs on five hits in six frames. St. Louis is in second place in the NL Central at 31-and-27. The Cardinals send Dustin May to the mound against the Rangers tonight.

>>Blues Extend Goaltender

(St. Louis, MO) — The St. Louis Blues are keeping one of their goaltenders around. The team signed Will Cranley to a one-year, two-way extension yesterday. Cranley has been in the Blues organization since being drafted in 2020, but he hasn’t appeared in any NHL games. He saved just over 89-percent of the shots he faced in the AHL last year.

(Chicago, IL) — The Blackhawks are moving on from one of their top prospects. The team traded forward Jack Pridham to the Tampa Bay Lightning for a 2027 third-round pick yesterday. Pridham was a third-round pick in the 2024 draft. He had 46 goals and 44 assists in 65 games in the Ontario Hockey League last season.

>>Browns Trade Pass Rusher Myles Garrett To LA Rams

(Cleveland, OH) — The Cleveland Browns have traded star edge rusher Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams. The Browns received pass rusher Jared Verse, a 2027 first round pick, 2028 second round pick and 2029 third round pick. Garrett was selected as the first overall pick by the Browns in the 2017 NFL Draft. He’s a seven time Pro-Bowler and broke the single season sack record last year.

(Philadelphia, PA) — NFL star wide receiver AJ Brown is headed to New England. The Philadelphia Eagles are getting a 2028 first round pick and a 2027 fifth round pick from the Patriots. Brown spent four seasons with the Eagles, winning Super Bowl 59 with the team. He was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in 2019 with the 51st overall pick. Brown has been named to three Pro Bowls in his career.

>>Giants Bring Back OBJ, Sign Smith-Schuster

(New York, NY) — The New York Giants are bringing back wide receiver Odell Beckhman Jr. The team announced they had signed OBJ on Monday. The Giants drafted Beckham Jr. in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft and he would spend five seasons with the team before being traded to the Cleveland Browns. New York also reportedly signed veteran receivers Braxton Berrios and JuJu Smith-Schuster to deals on Monday as well.

>>Football Hall Of Famer Raymond Berry Dies

(Murfreesboro, TN) — Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Raymond Berry has passed away. In a statement released Monday, his family announced Berry died at the age of 93 on May 25th in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was drafted by the Baltimore Colts in 1954 and won two NFL championships with the team. After his playing days he went into coaching and eventually was hired as the head coach of the New England Patriots in 1984. He was elected to the Hall of Fame his first year of eligibility in 1973 and was also named to the NFL’s 75th and 100th anniversary all-time teams.

>>NBA Finals Begin Wednesday In San Antonio

(San Antonio, TX) — The NBA Finals tip off this week. Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs square off against Jalen Brunson’s Knicks in Game One from San Antonio on Wednesday. The Spurs outlasted the defending champion Thunder in seven games of the Western Conference Finals to advance while the Knicks wiped out the Cavaliers in a four-game sweep to claim the East. This is a rematch of the 1999 Finals, which ended with San Antonio dominating New York in five games to hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy.

>>Mavericks Agree On New Arena Outside Of Downtown

(Dallas, TX) — The Mavericks are potentially heading out of their home city to build a new stadium. The team announced on Monday an agreement was reached on a more than 100-acre spot about 10 miles south of downtown Dallas. The site housed a former mall which was demolished three years ago. The proposal would see the Mavs moving out of Dallas for the first time in the franchise’s history, with the new venue slated to open in 2031.

>>Stanley Cup Final Begins Tuesday

(Raleigh, NC) — The top two teams in the NHL are ready to battle for Lord Stanley. The Carolina Hurricanes host the Vegas Golden Knights for Game One of the Stanley Cup Final on Tuesday in Raleigh. The Hurricanes are representing the Eastern Conference after disposing of the Montreal Canadiens in five games. The Golden Knights won the Western Conference after sweeping the President’s Trophy winning Colorado Avalanche. Both teams are seeking their second championship. Carolina lifted the Cup in 2006 and Vegas won it all in 2023.

>>Reds’ Elly De La Cruz Out With Hamstring Injury

(Cincinnati, OH) — The Reds will be without one of their explosive players for at least a couple of weeks. The team placed Elly De La Cruz on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain. The shortstop got hurt during Sunday’s game against the Braves after hitting a single. Manager Terry Francona told the media it’s between a Grade One and Two strain and will take about two-to-four weeks to recover.

>>UK MBB Lands F Momcilovic

(Undated) — The top remaining player in the transfer portal has a new home. Former Iowa State forward Milan Momcilovic committed to Kentucky on Monday night. Momcilovic averaged 16.9 points for the Cyclones last season and shot nearly 49 percent from 3-point range. He previously entered the NBA Draft, but pulled out ahead of the deadline.

(Paris) — The French Open continued on Monday. Fourth-seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime advanced past Alejandro Tabilo in straight sets. Number 19 seeded American Frances Tiafoe was upset by Matteo Arnaldi in five sets. The quarterfinals begin Tuesday with Alexander Zverev and Rafael Jodar facing off ahead of a matchup between Joao Fonseca and Jakub Mensik. On the women’s side, top-seeded Aryna Sabalenka knocked off Naomi Osaka in straight sets. American Madison Keys was knocked off by Diana Shnaider in another matchup. The action continues Tuesday with Mirra Andreeva and Sorana Cirstea battling before a matchiup between Ukranians Elina Svitolina and Marta Kostyuk.

(Indianapolis, IN) — The Fever begin their quest for the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup later this week. Indiana is hosting the Atlanta Dream on Thursday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Fever are hoping to snap their two-game skid.
