
A Clay City man is facing felony charges following an investigation into a reported theft and property damage incident in Clay City Township.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a complaint on May 14th regarding a theft and criminal damage at a property on Tower Road in Clay City Township. The complainant reported that unknown suspect or suspects had removed multiple items from inside a residence and had also taken metal from a shed on the property.
Following an investigation, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office requested an arrest warrant through State’s Attorney, Phillip Givens.
A warrant was subsequently issued for Will E. Corry, 25, of Clay City, charging him with theft of more than $500 and criminal damage to property of more than $500.
On Wednesday, Corry turned himself in at the Clay County Jail, where he remains incarcerated pending further court proceedings.
