On Thursday morning around 5:14 a.m. Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies and first responders responded to a report of a vehicle off the roadway on I-64 near the 107 mile marker. Upon arrival, they located a vehicle driven by 29-year old John Plainc of Herrin in the tree line. Planinc stated that he was westbound on I-64 when he lost control of his 2014 Chevrolet Cruze and ran off the roadway. Planinc was trapped in the vehicle due to a tree pinning the driver’s door shut.
