FCHS student Will Lewis was selected as the 2026 State FFA Proficiency Winner in Environmental Science and Natural Resources Management. Will is the son of Billy and Jamie Lewis. He is a member of the Fairfield FFA Chapter, advised by Curt Robbins and Samantha Smith. For his Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), Will works at Lewis Scrap Metal, a recycling business that aims to preserve and recycle as much of the earth’s metals as possible. He assists with buying ferrous and non-ferrous metals from manufacturing facilities, industrial businesses, salvage yards, and individuals. The metal is processed and shipped to steel mills, where it is melted down and turned into new, reusable material.
