Young anglers are invited to cast their lines at the upcoming Kids Fishing Tournament scheduled for Saturday, June 20, at the Whitetail Shelter at Sam Dale Lake. The event is open to children ages 5 through 16 and will run from 9 a.m. until noon. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. Organizers say the tournament will feature fun and friendly competition, with prizes awarded to the top three participants. All fish must be measured by noon, and the angler catching the longest fish will be declared the winner. An adult must accompany children participating in the event.
Lunch will be provided at noon for all attendees. Forest Ridge Church sponsors the tournament, and families are encouraged to attend and enjoy a day at the lake. Additional information will be available during registration on the morning of the event.
