The North Wayne Community Unit School District #200 Board of Education will meet tonight (Wednesday) at 5 p.m. at Cisne Middle School.

Board members are expected to consider a consent agenda that includes approval of May meeting minutes, leave requests, an overnight FCCLA trip to Evansville, Indiana, and the resignation of Nick Howard as Cisne High School assistant baseball coach.

The board will review financial reports, including payment of bills, the treasurer’s report, and district income figures. Superintendent updates and communications will also be presented.

Under old business, board members will receive an update on the district’s Building, Learning and Development District project.

New business includes consideration of the Egyptian Trust health insurance renewal increase for the 2026-27 school year, along with annual fees for book rentals, facility usage, athletic admissions, school meals, and extra milk. The board will also review executive session minutes from the past six months and consider destruction of certain audio recordings from 2024.

Additional agenda items include renewal of the district’s commercial insurance coverage and consideration of Press Plus Issue 121 policy updates.

Following executive session, the board is expected to take action on the hiring of a Cisne High School assistant softball coach.

The meeting is open to the public.
