Fairfield Public School District #112 will hold registration for all students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade on Tuesday, July 14th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the cafeteria at North Side School. Parents and students should enter through the cafeteria doors located behind the gym.

All students must be registered before the start of the school year. Returning students, except preschoolers, may register online through their Skyward accounts. Families needing login information are encouraged to contact the school between 8 a.m. and noon prior to registration day.

Horizon Healthcare will be on-site during registration to provide free school and sports physicals with no appointment necessary. A parent or guardian must be present.

District officials remind families that proof of household income is required for all pre-kindergarten students. New students in kindergarten through eighth grade, as well as students who have moved into the district, must provide proof of residency.

Registration fees for the 2026-27 school year will be $50 for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, with an additional $30 technology fee for students in grades four through eight. Fees are due at registration.

Required health examinations include physicals for students entering school for the first time and sixth grade, dental exams for kindergarten, second and sixth grades, and eye exams for all kindergarten students and first-time students age five and older.

Teachers’ Institute days are scheduled for August 10 and 11. The first day of attendance for kindergarten through eighth grade students will be Wednesday, August 12, with dismissal at 1:00 and 1:10 p.m. Pre-kindergarten classes will begin August 19.

Bus transportation information will be available at registration. Students not eligible for regular bus service may ride for a fee of $80 for the first child and $40 for each additional child.

School supply lists will also be available during registration. Preschool screenings are scheduled for September 2, and appointments may be made during registration. Children must be at least three years old at the time of screening.
