Jimmy Lee Reynolds, 78, of Clay City

Jimmy Lee Reynolds, 78, of Clay City, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Axiom Healthcare in Flora, IL., surrounded by his family.
Jimmy was born August 23, 1947 in McLeansboro, IL to parents, Eugene and Rosie (Kirsch) Reynolds. He married Cecelia Kay Travis on January 19, 1975, she survives.
Jimmy was a longtime resident of Clay City and served on the Clay City Village Board for 15 years. He spent most of his working career in the oil field and retired as a production manager.
Jimmy enjoyed going to barrel races and rodeos. He drove his granddaughter all over the country attending her races. Jimmy took pleasure in owning and racing thoroughbred horses and later in life he enjoyed his antique pulling tractor.
Jimmy was a huge sports fan. He particularly liked Illini basketball and both the Cardinals and the Cubs.
Jimmy was a proud grandfather and loved attending all of their activities. He ensured that they were all well taken care of.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Kay Reynolds of Clay City; sons, Terry Woodrow and wife Kim of Clay City and Todd Woodrow and wife Pam of Flora; grandchildren, Danielle Dillman and husband Austin of Arthur, IL, Taylor Woodrow of Flora, Dylan Woodrow and wife Sarah of Clay City, and Drew Woodrow and wife Hope of Flora; great grandchildren, Lucas and Lane Dillman, Emersyn and Sutton Woodrow, and Riley and Ella Kate Woodrow; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Rosie Reynolds; and siblings, Don Reynolds and Wilma Maple.
Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Clay City has been entrusted with arrangements.
Funeral Services for Jimmy will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Clay City Fellowship Church in Clay City with a visitation one hour before service at the church. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
