By Mark Wells Jun 24, 2026 | 12:00 PM

The “Feeding Kids of Wayne County” program is now underway and will continue through August 7th, providing free sack lunches and groceries to children ages 2 through 18 across Wayne County.

In Fairfield, free sack lunches are available Monday through Friday from 11 to 11:30 a.m. at Manor of the Woodlands on Manor Circle, Lakeside Park’s west shelter on Northwest 7th Street, and Jesus Name Pentecostal Church on Southwest 6th Street.

Weekly grocery distributions are also being offered every Monday from 11 to 11:30 a.m. at Wayne City Park, Cisne Park, Cisne Square, and on the west side of Geff Grade School.

Organizers encourage families to take advantage of the program to help keep children fed and healthy throughout the summer months.
