STELLANTIS RECALLING MORE THAN ONE MILLION JEEPS OVER FIRE RISK

By Mark Wells Jun 24, 2026 | 11:52 AM

Stellantis is recalling more than one million Jeep vehicles due to a potential fire hazard.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recall affects nearly 788,000 Jeep Wranglers and more than 289,000 Jeep Gladiators from model years 2021 through 2025.

The NHTSA says the electric hydraulic power-steering pump wiring may overheat, which could lead to a vehicle fire. Owners are being advised to park their vehicles outside and away from structures until repairs are completed.

Dealers will inspect and replace the affected parts at no cost.

Owner notification letters are scheduled to be mailed July 9th. For more information, owners can contact Stellantis customer service at 1-800-853-1403. The recall number is 21D.
