The American Red Cross will host a blood drive on Wednesday, July 8th at the Community of Christ Church, located at 503 Windsor Lane in Fairfield.
The blood drive will run from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Organizers say all blood types are needed, with a particularly critical need for Type A-negative blood during the summer months.
The event will also feature the annual Donorama, where donors can enjoy porkburgers prepared by Don Zurliene.
Individuals wishing to donate are encouraged to schedule an appointment at the Red Cross website or by contacting Cathy Calarusso at 618-599-1835.
Red Cross officials remind residents that blood donations help ensure a stable supply for hospitals and patients in need throughout the region.
