The Wayne County Soil and Water Conservation District will host a Cover Crop Field Day on Tuesday, August 18, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Greg Dickey Farm near Wayne City.
Featured speakers will include David Kleinschmidt of Progressive Agronomy Consulting LLC, Torey Colburn of the American Farmland Trust, and Dave Severin.
The event will include in-field demonstrations, cover crop comparisons, and a soil pit demonstration designed to showcase soil health and conservation practices.
Participants will also enjoy a meal catered by Randy’s Smokehouse of Wayne City.
The field day is sponsored by the American Farmland Trust, Peoples National Bank, and Farm Credit.
