
Frontier Community College volleyball standout Lily Spark will continue her academic and athletic career at Eastern Michigan University, Bobcats Head Coach Kera Vinson announced.
Spark, a 5-foot-9 outside hitter from Christ Church, New Zealand, is coming off an impressive freshman season with the Bobcats. She earned Great Rivers Athletic Conference All-Conference honors after appearing in 37 matches and 130 sets.
She averaged 2.3 kills per set, totaling 342 kills while hitting .295. Spark also contributed 68 blocks, 14 service aces, 338 digs, and 419 total points. In conference play, she elevated her performance, averaging 3.0 kills per set with a .376 hitting percentage.
Among her top performances was a career-high 19 kills while hitting .484 in a five-set victory over Rend Lake College on Oct. 6, 2025. She reached double figures in kills 13 times during the season, including a 14-kill performance while hitting .706 against Kaskaskia College on Sept. 29.
Spark also showcased her all-around ability with 11 kills, nine digs, and a career-high seven blocks against East Central College on Sept. 5. Defensively, she posted 12 matches with at least 10 digs, highlighted by a career-best 21 digs and 15 kills against Allen County Community College on Aug. 30.
Before joining Frontier, Spark enjoyed a decorated career at Christ Church Girls’ School in New Zealand. She represented the New Zealand Under-20 National Team in 2024 and 2025 and earned multiple regional and interprovincial tournament honors, including MVP recognition in 2024. Her teams captured regional championships in 2023 and 2024 and interprovincial titles in 2022 and 2023.
A multi-sport athlete, Spark also competed in touch rugby, basketball, field hockey, and rugby sevens, earning team MVP honors in field hockey in 2020 and 2021.
Eastern Michigan University competes in the Mid-American Conference. The Eagles finished 13-18 last season under Head Coach Kevin Foeman, who enters his fourth season leading the program in 2026.
