The City of Fairfield Water Department says a boil water order remains in effect for portions of the city following water line repairs.
The advisory applies to residents on the north side of Shoreway Drive to the south side of West York Drive, and west of Florence Drive to east of Northwest 7th Street.
In addition, anyone in the affected area who experienced a loss of water service during the repairs is advised to boil water used for drinking, cooking, making ice or any other human consumption until further notice.
The city says the boil order will remain in effect until water samples have been tested and confirmed safe. A notice will be issued once the advisory has been lifted.
