The Fairfield Memorial Hospital Foundation is proud to announce the purchase and installation of new STANLEY automatic doors leading into the hospital’s Surgery Department, furthering its commitment to enhancing the patient experience and improving accessibility throughout Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
The new automatic doors provide a safer, more convenient passage for patients, visitors, and staff while making patient transportation between the Surgery Department, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency Department, and other clinical areas more efficient. The hands-free operation also offers increased accessibility for individuals using wheelchairs, walkers, stretchers, or other mobility equipment.
The Foundation’s investment reflects its ongoing mission to support projects that improve patient care and strengthen healthcare services for the communities served by Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
“Every improvement we make to our facility is centered around our patients,” said Andy Flemer, CEO of Fairfield Memorial Hospital. “These new automatic doors may seem like a simple upgrade, but they make a meaningful difference in the daily experience of our patients, families, and caregivers. They help improve patient flow, enhance accessibility, and create a safer, more welcoming environment for everyone who enters our Surgery Department.”
STANLEY automatic healthcare doors are specifically designed for hospital environments, providing smooth, touchless operation that supports patient mobility, accessibility, and efficient movement throughout healthcare facilities while helping staff transport patients quickly and safely between departments.
The Fairfield Memorial Hospital Foundation continues to make investments that directly impact patient care through donations and fundraising efforts that support new equipment, facility enhancements, and healthcare initiatives across the organization.
“Our Foundation exists because of the generosity of our donors and community,” said Nathan Gentz, FMH Foundation Director “projects like these demonstrate how charitable giving creates lasting improvements that benefit every patient who walks through our doors.”
Fairfield Memorial Hospital extends its sincere appreciation to the Fairfield Memorial Hospital Foundation, its donors, and supporters for making projects like this possible. Their continued generosity helps ensure the hospital remains equipped to provide exceptional care in a safe, accessible, and patient-centered environment.
