Larry D. Haygood, formerly of Fairfield, passed away at 6:10pm on July 8, 2026, at his home in Mt. Vernon, IL.
Larry was born on November 11, 1968, in Memphis, TN, to Ford and Mary V. (Stewart) Haygood.
Survivors include his son Ace Haygood and grandson Greyson Haygood both of Fairfield, his siblings Earl (Carol) Haygood of Berrien Springs, MI, Mearl (Crystal) Haygood of Niles, MI, Linda (Austin) Long of Tupelo, MS, Connie (Jim) Ward of St. Joseph, MI, Mark (Gwen) Haygood of Holcomb, MS, David (Loretta) Haygood of Fairfield, IL, and Suzanne Haygood of Jonesboro, AR, his brother-in-law Benton Whitman of Trumann, AR, his sister-in-law Kathy Haygood of Olive Branch, MS, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Gerald Haygood, Ronnie Haygood, and Rickey Haygood, and a sister Brenda Whitman.
A visitation will be held from 5pm-7pm on Friday, July 17th, at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, IL. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, July 18th, at Calvary United Pentecostal Church at 406 N 44th St, Mt. Vernon, IL. Following the funeral service, a graveside service will be held at 4pm at Bolivar Cemetery in Harrisburg, AR. Memorial donations can be made to help with funeral expenses and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.
