The Fairfield PSD #112 School Board met for their regularly scheduled monthly meeting Monday at 6:00 pm in the Center Street School Boardroom. Superintendent Kristina Gardner’s Report first addressed the Revenue Expenditure Report. She stated that the district received 103% of its revenue and expended 96% of the budget for Fiscal Year 2026 and that work will begin soon on the budget for Fiscal Year 2027. Under the Food Service Report, it was stated that the current food service balance is $282,573.43. In the Transportation Report it was noted that the district received two fuel bids. The board decided to approve the bid with Wabash Valley Service Company. There was a first reading of PRESS Policy 122 and the Threat Assessment Plan received its annual review. The Employee Handbook, Coaches Handbook and Athletic Guidelines were also reviewed. Addressing the Alternative School Slot Fee it was noted that this is an annual fee for the LAB school. Under the Building Report it was noted that cleaning is almost complete in both buildings. The district also had their 10-year Health Life Safety visit and the Board will be updated when a report is received from that visit. The custodians added additional parking on the north lot of North Side’s staff parking lot and repairs are being made for one of the AC units in the gym. The Board also approved the job descriptions for secretaries and bookkeepers. The Board then entered Closed Session to discuss personnel matters. Following the Closed Session the following action items were taken: The Board accepted the resignations of Crystal Schrodt and Abbigail Hiett as paraprofessionals. The Board employed Linda Johnston and Katrena Moore as paraprofessionals. The Board employed Lucas Vaughan as a bus driver. The Board approved the intent to retire from Lisa Bunting for June 2030. The meeting adjourned at 6:51 p.m.
