Norman S. Beachy, age 85, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at his home in McLeansboro, IL. He was born February 20, 1941 at Dover, Delaware, the son of Samuel and Lena Beachy. On March 28, 1963, he was united in marriage to Laura A. Miller. They lived in Matrimony for 63 years.
Survivors include his wife: Laura, and five children: Verna Irene (David) Mast of Windsor, MO, Ruth Ann (Daniel) Mast of Windsor, MO, Nathan Jay (Esther) Beachy of Dale, IL, Barbara Fern (Amos) Mast of Windsor, MO, Aaron David (Waneta) Beachy of Newaygo, MI; two brothers: Melvin (Phebe) Beachy of Liberty, KY, Lester (Barbara) Beachy of Liberty, KY, one sister-in-law: Mary Beachy of Liberty, KY, one sister: Betty Ann (Henry) Beachy of Humansville, MO, thirty-one grandchildren and forty-eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Wilmer and Ray, one infant sister: Barbara, one sister-in-law: Edna (Wilmer) Beachy, and three grandchildren.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church of Dale, IL. Visitation will be held at Hadley Creek Covers in Dale, IL on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at Hadley Creek Covers in Dale, IL. Burial will take place at Oak Valley Cemetery in Dale, IL.
