Edwards County Treasurer Jennifer Thomason is reminding residents of upcoming tax deadlines for both mobile home and real estate taxes.
Thomason said 61 percent of the 2026 mobile home tax extension has been collected to date. The deadline to pay mobile home taxes is this Friday. Payments received after that date will be assessed an additional $25 late penalty. Payments can be made in person at the Edwards County Treasurer’s office in the Edwards County Courthouse during office hours from 8am to 4pm. Residents may also use the drop box located on the northeast corner of the Courthouse by the Sheriff’s Office.
Thomason also announced that 2025 payable 2026 real estate tax bills will be mailed beginning this week.
The total real estate tax extension for Edwards County is $9,565,529.08.
The first installment of real estate taxes will be due Aug. 28, 2026, while the second installment will be due September 28, 2026.
Thomason encourages taxpayers to watch for their tax bills in the mail and make payments by the due dates to avoid penalties.
