Illinois Extension and Edwards County 4-H have announced the results of the annual Edwards County 4-H Swine and Goat Shows held Tuesday, July 28. Extension officials thanked the judges, volunteers, sponsors and participants for helping make this year’s livestock shows a success. In the 4-H Swine Show, Kamryn Trowbridge exhibited the Grand Champion Overall Gilt, while Ryleigh Moore earned Reserve Grand Champion Overall Gilt. The Grand Champion Overall Gilt award was sponsored by Citizens National Bank of Albion. Emerie Moore claimed both Grand Champion Overall Barrow, sponsored by Stumpy Hill Farm, and Grand Champion Market Hog, sponsored by the Edwards County Farm Bureau Foundation. Sydney Williams was named Reserve Grand Champion Overall Barrow, while Lawson Moore earned Reserve Grand Champion Market Hog honors. Showmanship winners included Sydney Williams in the senior division, Ryleigh Moore in the junior division and Ella Moore in the novice division. In the 4-H Goat Show, Adalynn Potter was named Grand Champion Dairy Goat, sponsored by the Edwards County Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom, and also received the reserve grand champion award. JW Simms-Reisner captured Grand Champion Meat Goat, sponsored by JTK Services, and also earned the reserve grand champion honor. Brayden Childers exhibited the Grand Champion Market Goat, sponsored by Sydenstricker Nobbe Partners, while Lucas Troyer was named Reserve Grand Champion Market Goat. Goat showmanship awards went to JW Simms-Reisner in the senior division, Lucas Troyer in the junior division and Emma Smith in the novice division.
