Chicago Cubs 4, St. Louis Cardinals 2 10 Innings
For the 2nd night in a row, it took extra innings for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs to settle their differences. Unlike last night however, the Cardinals came out on the wrong side of the battle, falling to the Cubs 4-2 in 10 innings. A one-out home run by Cardinals rookie J.J. Wetherholt in the seventh inning tied the game at 2 apiece, which lasted until the top of the 10th inning. The Cubs Alex Bregman drove in the go-ahead run with a double in the top of the 10th to give Chicago the lead with Ian Happ adding one more run with his own double. The Cardinals failed to score in the bottom of the 10th, handing the Cubs the victory. The Cardinals will be back in action again tonight at the Rogers Centre in Toronto vs. the Blue Jays with a 6:07 game time.
