CENTER STREET SCHOOL ANNOUNCES FALL SPORTS TRYOUT DATES

Center Street School has announced tryout dates for its fall sports programs and is encouraging student-athletes to mark their calendars. Softball tryouts will be held Monday, August 3rd from 9 to 11 a.m. at Southwest Park. Baseball tryouts are scheduled for Friday, August 7th from 9 a.m. to noon at Lakeside Park. Cross Country tryouts will take place Thursday, August 13th from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Leo French Park. Students interested in cross country can also attend optional open runs on August 3 through 6 from 7 to 8 a.m., and again on August 10th from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. School officials encourage students planning to participate in fall athletics to attend the appropriate tryout and come prepared for outdoor activities.

ALBION GRADE SCHOOL SOFTBALL TEAM TO HOST PORKBURGER, PORK CHOP FUNDRAISER

The Albion Grade School softball team will hold its annual Leroy Moore Porkburger and Pork Chop Fundraiser on Thursday, August 6th at the Albion Pagoda.

Serving will begin at 10:30 a.m. and continue until sold out.

In addition to porkburgers and pork chops, baked sale items will also be available for purchase.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Albion Grade School softball program. Organizers encourage community members to come out, enjoy a meal, and support the team.
