Forty-three Frontier Community College student-athletes have been recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association for outstanding academic achievement during the 2025-26 school year.

The NJCAA All-Academic Teams honor student-athletes who excel in the classroom while competing in collegiate athletics. First Team recipients earn a perfect 4.0 grade-point average, Second Team honorees post GPAs between 3.80 and 3.99, and Third Team members maintain GPAs between 3.60 and 3.79.

Frontier placed 19 student-athletes on the First Team, 16 on the Second Team, and eight on the Third Team.

In addition to the individual honors, all three Bobcat athletic programs ranked among the nation’s best academically. The volleyball team finished third nationally with a 3.84 team GPA, the baseball team tied for fifth with a 3.74 GPA, and the softball team ranked sixth with a 3.79 GPA.

Athletic Director Jeremy Ellis said the recognition reflects the college’s commitment to academic success.

“We’re super excited,” Ellis said. “This is the standard we want to set. We want our student-athletes to remain academically focused and use their success here to help them continue their education and athletic careers elsewhere.”

Ellis also credited Frontier’s faculty, staff, administrators, and the Fairfield community for supporting student-athletes throughout the academic year.

The NJCAA All-Academic Teams program recognizes student-athletes across the country who demonstrate excellence both in the classroom and in athletic competition.
