The Wayne County Coroner’s Office is investigating two deaths that occurred within the past week in Wayne County.
On Thursday, July 30th, 73-year-old Larry Carlson was found deceased inside his residence in Geff after Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a welfare check. According to the coroner’s office, no one had made contact with Carlson since March.
39-year-old Joanna Williams of Tennessee was found deceased on Saturday, August 1st inside a short-term rental in the 200 block of West Main Street in Fairfield after the property’s checkout time.
The Wayne County Coroner’s Office said an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of Williams’ death.
The Fairfield Police Department is investigating the incident.
