The community of Bluford will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a full day of family-friendly activities on Saturday, August 22nd from 8am to 4pm at the Bluford Ruritan Building, 814 Sixth Street.
The celebration will feature the Bluford Ruritan Club’s Annual Ice Cream Social, along with a parade, flea market, car and tractor show, bounce houses, laser tag for children, and a gun raffle with a cash prize option.
Food will be available throughout the day, with the Bluford Fire Department serving hamburgers, cheeseburgers, pork burgers, Polish sausage, and hot dogs. Nachos, soft drinks, and plenty of ice cream will also be offered. Organizers say they plan to make nearly 90 gallons of ice cream in a variety of flavors.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and spend the day celebrating Bluford’s centennial with food, entertainment, and activities for the entire family.
