Thomas Gary Reese, 85, of Crossville, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on Monday, November 3, 1941, in Grayville, Illinois, the son of Gerald and Judith (Bunting) Reese. Tom proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a manager at M&B Inc. He was a member of Temple of Grace in Crossville, Illinois. Tom was known for his handyman work and his love for animals. He was an avid sports fan and loved spending time with his friends and family.
Tom is survived by his children, Ryan (Tammy) Reese of Crossville, IL. and Tracy Smock of Crossville, IL; grandchildren, Greg (Nina) Wall, Jeremiah Reese, Gabriel (Jacob) Miller, Daniel (Christie) Moutray and Marissa (Caleb) Wiseman; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Mayleionia, Trinity, Deimitri, Braylen, Alanis, Snodyn, Aspen, Langston and Luca; a brother, Dennis Reese; and a sister-in-law, Tammy Reese.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Billy Reese, Joan Treadway and Betty Linder.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in the Crossville Chapel of Roberts and Cook Funeral Service, with Tammy Reese officiating. Burial will follow immediately at Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville, Illinois. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Roberts and Cook Funeral Service to assist the family with final expenses.
