FIVE SENTENCED THURSDAY IN WAYNE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT

Five defendants were sentenced Thursday in Wayne County Circuit Court.   38-year-old Tiffney Whitley of Crossville admitted to violating a previous two-year probation sentence for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Whitley was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, plus court costs. She received credit for 191 days served in the Wayne County Jail, with the sentence to run concurrently with a previous sentence. Whitley is currently serving time at Logan Correctional Center. 31-year-old Heather Tanner of Fairfield pleaded guilty to retail theft and was sentenced to two years of probation, plus court costs. Tanner was ordered to stay away from the Fairfield Walmart and pay $134 in restitution to the store. She also received a stayed 180-day jail sentence that could be imposed if she violates the terms of probation. 23-year-old Kyler Smith of Mt. Vernon pleaded guilty to non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images, a Class 4 felony. Smith was sentenced to two years of probation, plus court costs, and ordered to stay away from the victim’s premises. He also received a stayed 180-day jail sentence if he violates the terms of probation. 20-year-old Aiden Buchanan of Fairfield pleaded guilty to domestic battery and was sentenced to 24 months of probation, plus court costs. 45-year-old Tracy Bergman pleaded guilty to unlawful use of an electronic tracking device and was sentenced to one year of conditional discharge, plus court costs. Bergman received credit for three days served in the Wayne County Jail. Under the plea agreement, one count and a separate case were dismissed  in the casereceived a 180 day “stayed” sentence if  violates the current term of probation
