Two drivers were cited following a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Arrington Township.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred at approximately 4:14 p.m. near 1022 Illinois Highway 15.
Deputies reported that 21-year-old Samuel Williams of Fairfield was driving a 1995 Chevrolet Carryall and attempting to turn left into a driveway when his vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by a 2018 Nissan sedan driven by 77-year-old Jimmy Seaton of Princeton, Indiana.
Williams told deputies that Seaton was traveling slowly and did not have a turn signal activated. Seaton told deputies that he did have his turn signal on.
Neither driver was injured.
Seaton was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, while Williams was cited for improper turn signal.
